With such a cute nickname, you may wonder why do I want to lose my love handles; because they are not good for you. Nobody wants to have saddlebags or a beer gut. No one wishes for a muffin top either. All of these things refer to the extra weight that sits on the waistband of your pants when you gain too much weight. These extra inches are little more than fat stored by a body that is not active enough to process all of the food that it is taking in. Spending the rest of your life with these love handles however, is not necessary. If you want to lose weight, there are plenty of things you can do to get in shape and fit into your pants.

At first, you may find it tiring after a few minutes, but as you gain stamina you may start looking forward to these sessions.

Start by getting out of your chair. At least half an hour every day you should be exercising. It is vital that some of this time be spent on aerobic exercise. You are more likely to pile on the weight if you spend a lot of time sitting and not doing much. Exercise burns calories and helps keep the love handles away. Exercise will also improve your mood by releasing endorphins which help you fight stress. Exercise has so many positive benefits. So put down the chips, turn off the television and start moving around! There's no reason you should have to put up with love handles permanently. With consistent effort, you can lose weight in the areas where you need to. Losing weight takes patience and regular effort, but if you make regular progress, you will soon lose those extra inches. It might take some time but, eventually, your pants will fit perfectly!
